Oh hey, I know who owns or owned these.

Hehe. I know ;)

Anyways, here's the important parts of what he sent me.

"I played them all and there where no differences what so ever."(he's not just talking about Goemon, but everything else that he found with it. Tonic Trouble was one notable game :)
"If you look at n64 prototypes in general there are almost no differences with the released versions.
The reason for this is the price these carts where very $$ and so early versions stayed on pc for perfection."

Makes sense, I think that's been mentioned several times on other forums, and is one of the main reasons finding a Mother 3 proto is unlikely.

Of course, this can't say one way or the other regarding this proto, since no matter which way you look at it it's still possible it could be something worth it. Anyways, people should at the least be aware of what was said above and keep that in mind.

just donated $10 so if people continued to donate $20 at that rate we won't go over the target price. :)

also, i'm going to be really ticked off if people ask for cart/picture in action just ONE MORE TIME. SGROJGREJGREGIEJRGIEJ

Well a lot of N64 protos include cool debug menus and such, like the Tom & Jerry ones I own. From the N64 proto lot on the picture I own Vigilante 8 and Buck Bumble.

Total N64 proto count is now 32, if I remember correctly. This includes the unreleased PAL version of Star Soldier.

I think this donation fund may as well be given up. Not enough people care. Even the main guy that started it backed out, this isn't likely to go anywhere.

i might come back to this, dont worry

drx brought something neat to my attention (needed immediate cash) - so until i get more money (soon, promise), all we did is just take few steps back.

i think its still good to donate, but i think since the toejam2 incident, im going to ask drx to confirm if dreamtr even has the cart anymore.

Yeah... that was a real letdown.

I wonder what happened to it, and I hope it's not going to just rot in some "physical ROM collection" forever. Perhaps whoever bought it can be convinced of a community dump?

Yeah, DreamTR is gonna take the time out to actually dare find out who he sold it to so we can get into contact with them.

Not gonna happen I'm afraid :(

So the game is no longer available? I think it's safe to close down this thread then :-/

No longer available? What do you mean? Did someone ask DreamTR to check and he found out he doesn't have it anymore? lol

No. And I'd appreciate it if you stopped spreading your misinformation disguised as "questions lol".

Well, I didn't state it was true, so I wouldn't call it misinformation. I seriously was asking.

I'll pay the remaining amount of money needed if it is confirmed that it really is beta. For if it would just be a English reviewer version all the money i put out would go to waste...

^Yeah. I would like to contribute a fair amount, also, to get things moving again.

Any update about this? It seems that we'll never be able to reach the amount requested without any more info on the content of that cart :( Is there any chance that DreamTR could release the ROM with the current fund even if we did not reach 350$? Or could we move our donations to some other game that has more chance to be released?

Should we lose every hope of this being released somehow? :(

Hate to revive a long dead thread, but is there any new information on the availability of this proto?
