A prototype of Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge for PlayStation.
Notes
- There is (seemingly) full source code for this build backed up.
- This code is (likely) the first build where PC & PSX code started to share common code.
- It's also the first PC build to use fixed point math.
- This prototype CD image was built using mkpsxiso with files found in a source code backup.
- There is a language select screen despite this being an NTSC build.
- The main menu has progresed to a point where it resembles the final game.
- There is a level select in the new main menu.
- Has sounds, but no music.
- There is a debug bar at the bottom of the screen during gameplay.
- Frogger no longer can take several hits before dying.
- Pause menu now contains "Restart Level" option.
- Konami coins do not animate anymore.
- Many of the levels which did not make it into the final version have been cut.
- Upon completing a level, you are prompted to "choose your frog". This appears to have been a branching path option, where you could play as either Frogger or Lillie.
- Multiplayer now has a character selection screen.
