Does the game freeze when interacting with the Gargoyle but the animation keeps playing? This problem happens on some full ISO's of Medievil I and II during interaction sequences. On a side note, this beta seems to only be missing the CREDITS.BIN from the OVERLAYS directory.

If it's libcrypt, it's a prototype or something, because it's not similar to the other cases...

Nothing like that happens, no.

I have another idea. I can disassemble the code and look for a way to load a different level OR crack the copy protection. This might take a while though.

Hey drx, I think I may have found a early demo variant of Medievil. I have it on a Playstation disc called Demo One. Here are the differences.

- Some differences in the intro movie
- Different Gravestone where you select Start
- Start in the second level
- Third level is playable
- Fourth level is playable but ends randomly, probably because the game is timed or something and I just ran through the levels
- No Map between levels
- Some differences in the maps
- Different Life bottles
- Different placement of objects like treasure
- Different music
- The OVERLAYS directory has 25 files, missing the CREDITS.BIN

The demo appears to be further in development than your .35 version, with more levels but everything else the same. Can you confirm this drx?

The Crystal Caves  (Unplaybable Crash)
The Haunted Ruins (Unplayable Disc icon error)
The Ghost Ship (Unplayable Disc icon error)
The Gallows Gaunlet (Unplaybable Crash)
The Entrance Hall (Unplaybable Crash)

Sorry, I haven't had time to do any prototype stuff recently.

I did try to hack Medievil to load other levels, but had no luck IIRC. I'll be emailing you Gh0stblade.

How much do you want for a dump of:

Micky PC 4/14/95 E3 Demo Pre Alpha Sony Imagesoft in Mega CD-R case

Sounds like they were planning a PC port of Mickey Mania for the PC but didn't finish it. This would be pretty cool.

Also you still need to dump the Mickey SegaCD proto for me, unless you sold it to someone.

Still very interested in the PSX Tomb Raider BETA.

Apologies about the long hiatus on this. The good news is that from now I'm going to be releasing these again, so stay tuned.

Check the front page out from time to time, I keep releasing stuff.
I don't have a Crash Bandicoot 3 prototype, sadly! It's my favorite of the series.
