A build of Spore dated Feb 19, 2008, six months before the final build, with numerous differences to the final and many debug tools.

==Differences==
* Different intro scene
* Different menu design
* Entirely different loading screens
* Earlier logo and 2007 copyright date
* Cut feature in Tribal stage where you can change the colour and design of the hut
* Unused scenario editor, but most things crash the game
* Flora Editor, while present and unused in the final game, is less broken here (the flowers actually have models)
* "Planet Buster" weapon in Space stage actually destroys the planet rather than just leaving it
* Cut first person camera mode in Creature stage start cutscene
* Extensive UI and mechanical differences, especially in Civilisation and Space stages
* Different Space editor background
* Grox species is called "gRob"
* Options menu is unfinished with overlapping text (overlapping text can be fixed by clicking on any other tab in the settings)
* Many typos in text
* Game uses developer paths -assets within packages are named rather than having hashes
* A development web server can be accessed via <code>localhost:8088</code> while the game is running
* Cut terrain editor is present and working (later released in the expansion ''Spore: Galactic Adventures'')
* In the Space stage there is a cut "Favorites" tab (yellow star). Also there's no "Colony" tab in this prototype
* The Crop Circles tool icon features an alien from the Space Invaders
* The Genesis Device (Staff of Life in the release version) tool is buyable, unlike in the release

==Notes==
* SecuROM is enabled on the binary. 
* Includes unstripped PDB symbols
* Installer conflicts with the Spore Creature Creator (based on a later June 2008 prototype), but not the final Spore
* Fairly unstable and likely to crash after a random amount of time; the Cell stage is the most stable, but stability decreases the further you get through the game.
* Extensive debug settings including both in-game and separate console windows, simulation control settings and developer cheats
* Includes a readme (largely a guide to debug setings)
* To disable the debug interface, press CTRL+SHIFT+I combination twice.
