A debug console for the PlayStation 3. It is also often known as a "test kit" due to the TEST label that can be seen right underneath the PlayStation 3 logo.
==Notes==
* The model prefix for this system is typically DECH, and common variants include the A00A, based off the initial CECHA model, the J00A, based off the newer CECHJ model, and the 2500, a Slim variant. DECH-30xx and 40xx (latter being the SuperSlim) variants also exist, though uncommon.
* The "TEST" branding can be found on the top of the console for the A00A/J00A fat models, while the Slim models contain it underneath the console. AV Tool models do not feature the "TEST" branding & do not run games.
* Includes functionality not present in retail consoles, such as disabling HDCP. Many functions such as SDK connectivity can be restored via custom firmware on retail consoles.
* These consoles were often used for game testing and press coverage (the latter because journalists would often receive burnt/pressed BD-Rs containing pre-release/review builds of games).
* The model prefix for this system is typically DECH, and common variants include the A00A, based off the initial CECHA model, the J00A, based off the newer CECHJ model, and the 2500, a Slim variant. DECH-3000 and 4000 variants also exist, though uncommon.
* Includes functionality not present in retail consoles, such as disabling HDCP. Many functions such as SDK connectivity can be restored via CFW on retail consoles.
A early prototype of MediEvil for the PlayStation. Two discs have been located, and both returned similar dumps. Both dumps can be seen in the Internet Archive download link.
==Notes==
* A demo made for ECTS 1997
* The inclusion of the titlescreen options makes it likley that this version of the demo is only intended for press and not the showfloor
* While the build has been compiled on Sep 7 1997 (the accurate build date can be obtained from the MEDRES.MWD), materials suggest this build is based on prototype much earlier just like the rolling demo
* The titlescreen lets the player start the game and configure which level it starts from in the level select
* The options menu contains a stage, movie and music select. The Model- and Sound Test are referenced but the code has been stripped from the game
* Starting level lets the player only choose between the 2 demo levels and movie only between 3 movies
* None of the games data despite the restrictions has been stripped and a patch to fully unlock the titlescreen options is included
* The titlescreen cycles through different colors everytime it gets reloaded
* The demo consists of the Graveyard and the Ant Caves, however the gameplay flow of the levels has been slightly altered with text annotations
* At this point of development a lot of levels have not even been started yet in terms of programming and therefore only consist of their map model and very barebones if at all teleportation and entity placements
* Unlike the rolling demo, this build uses a early version of the health meter system where green bones will give the player a life and blue bones will expand the players health meter
* This build contains almost all cut levels, however theyre in an early stage of development and therefore unscripted
* Cut levels included in this build are: The Coffin Vaults, Fields of Dust, The River, The Muddy Riverbank, The Mud Slide, Circle of Shadows, The Silver Wood ,The Halls of Illusion, The Hub, The Great Machine
* At this point the trident is still in the weapons list but its model has been taken out of the game, suggest it was cut
* In the files there can be found models for the old version of dragon dan aswell as a fully animated model of Dan sliding down the cut Mudslide level
* All the levels differ greatly from their final counterparts

An early prototype of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back for the PlayStation.
==Notes==
{{Tcrf link|Proto:Crash_Bandicoot_2:_Cortex_Strikes_Back/June_15th,_1997_build}}

*The build matches the demo that was used at E3 1997. Starting on the second warp room, five levels are normally available, with three more available in the (inaccessible) first warp room. Sewer or Later, Hangin' Out, and Ruination are also present, but can be only seen in demo mode and cannot be accessed through normal means.
**Level 6 - Snow Go
**Level 7 - Rock It
**Level 8 - Bear It
**Level 9 - Hang Eight
**Level 10 - Taz Tiger
**Level 1 - Turtle Woods (accessible through cheat code only)
**Level 2 - Cold Hard Crash (accessible through cheat code only)
**Level 5 - Crash Dash (accessible through cheat code only)
*An earlier logo design is used, featuring considerably different lighting and choice of text colors.
*There are a number of Crash 1 leftovers, notably including the HUD and the game's pause menu.
*Crash's moves are more limited here: by doing an extra-high jump performed by sliding or ducking and then jumping, when touching the ground you won't be able to take control of him until the animation ends. The only way to avoid this is by spinning in the exact moment you touch the ground.
*The game doesn't save smashed boxes, collected wumpas or defeated enemies when the player respawns after dying or after returning to the main level when losing in a bonus round.
*Dying on the last life will never result in a game over. The player is, as a result, capable of dying as many times as they like.
*There are no specific music tracks for bonus rounds and alternate routes - the main path music is always used in both instances instead.
*If Crash dies while in a bonus round, the bonus platform will lock when Crash returns to the main level. The only way to retry it is if the player loses a life.
*Crystals are smaller and more transparent, have a different shape, lack a shadow, and don't shine. They will fly away upon collecting it instead of going off-screen after a second to the HUD.
*The Nitro detonator wasn't implemented yet at this point in development.
*The broken box tally in the HUD is only displayed in bonus rounds instead.
*There is no box counter at the end of the levels.
*Gems are not present at this point in development.
*Many animations are missing at this point, like when spoiling a collectible, dancing or warping.
*Hangin' Out features a completely different level design. Everything was later redone from scratch, with some layout chunks reused in the final version.
*The majority of the music tracks are different to how they sound in the final game.
*Rock It has an entirely unique theme, which is not present in the final game.
* Some cheat code combinations can be done while in the warp room:
** Unlock the elevator to Warp Room 1 - '''Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Down, Circle, Square, Triangle'''
** Hold R2 to spawn the Cortex hologram - '''Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Circle, Circle'''
** Turn off cheats - '''Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Down, Circle, Triangle, Circle'''
*To enter a given level on start up, use the following Gameshark code (with XX replaced with the level ID) and reset the game:
**To enter ''Sewer or Later'', replace XX with 0A.
**To enter ''Hangin' Out'', replace XX with 0D.
**To enter ''Ruination'', replace XX with 0F.

80011520 00XX

*Dump verified using DIC.
*Miscellaneous Notes:
**Game is emulatable: Yes, works on PSP and PSVita with Adrenaline (as of May 2, 2021)
**Game utilizes a dongle: No
A prototype of PaRappa the Rapper for the Sony PlayStation.
==Notes==
{{Tcrf link|Proto:PaRappa the Rapper (PlayStation)/Sep 24, 1996}}

===General Differences===

*Executable file is dated three days before NTSC-J final's EXE of September 27, 1996.
*The executable file is named PRR.BIN instead of SCPS_180.02. This appears to differ from the final build but at this time it is unsure in what ways.
*Stage 7's audio file, STAGE7.XA1 apparently differs from final, however the differences are trivial/unnoticeable. This also applies to Stage 3's FMV. These may need further investigating, but the files in the final build could just be simple re-renders or exports.
*S8/XMOVIE8.STR, the end credits of the game, includes a credits sequence that differ from the final build slightly. A couple of examples include "P.Fleaswallow" being referred to as "P.Freaswallow" and Joe Chin's last name being lowercased.
*Every scene's COMOD(X).BIN file differs from the final build. These are overlay files which contain the scene's unique code as well as subtitles, and seem to contain more debug code than the final files. The English dialogue appear to match the final NTSC-J release, unsure of Japanese dialogue.

===Gameplay Differences===

*It is possible to spam button inputs and consistently successfully obtain points. This allows you to complete the game with considerably more ease than the final version.
*Sometimes, you will not fail the song when you reach "AWFUL".

A post-release prototype of '''LittleBigPlanet''' for the Sony PlayStation 3.
==Notes==
{{Tcrf link|Proto:LittleBigPlanet_(PlayStation_3)/Deploy_Build}}
* The serial is BCUS98148 (USA Region).
* Based on an early revision of 1.22.
*Initially created to showcase PlayStation Move functionality within LittleBigPlanet. This appears to be a match to the tech demo from TGS 2009. Ironically, as of now, PS Move functionality does not work with this build.
*Contains thousands of assets and levels from varying stages of development of LittleBigPlanet and assets/levels from a very primitive stage of LittleBigPlanet 2.
*The executable (EBOOT.BIN) contains full debugging symbols.
*There is a small debug menu and various debugging functions. Listed below are said debugging functions. These are usually present in other debug builds of the PS3 LittleBigPlanet games unless stated otherwise.

===Debugging Functions===
{| class="wikitable"
!View Functions (Exclusive to Deploy Build)*
|L1 + L2 + R1 + R2
!Customize Character view**
|L2 + R2 + Circle
|-
!Open Debug Menu Shortcut
|L2 + R2 + START
|-
!Debug Teleport**
|L3 + R3 (press X after moving the left stick)
|}
''*NOTE:Press Right on the D-Pad on any function with a + next to it to expand.''

''**NOTE: Debug Teleport and Customize Character view are usually enabled with the Debug Camera option in the debug builds of the PS3 LBP games. Here, the camera doesn't move.''
Sometimes, a PS3 build, in addition to contain a build (in a folder called TEST1234), contains additional data in other folders (such as TEST1234_CACHE). This page was created to add files of this type as these files may have been created by the build itself while it was running (which may not be possible to create more due to, for example, the lack of servers) or are separate files for testing builds.
* Probably related to [[LittleBigPlanet 2 (Mar 10, 2011 Install Data prototype)]].
* Contains files named "bigfart1" and "littlefart18". They are profile data files, bigfart storing all of the player's saved creations (costumes, pods, in-game photos, levels on the moon, etc) and the littlefart storing game progression (story, pins unlocked) as well as the user's currently equipped costume and pod. Furthermore, if it has connected online, it will store their PSN username. The number indicates how many times that file was saved or written to in-game. It should be noted that this is the raw profile data, as opposed to a profile backup created in-game from the Pause menu.
* These files have a modification date of March 10, 2011.
A haul of builds from various games of the LittleBigPlanet series was retrieved primarily by MysteriousCube and mementomori, and researched by Chunky104, RZXspyro, theclashingfritz/PrinceFrizzy, Trevir/cellomonster, and Ben Brown. The prototypes were released from April 20th-23rd, 2021, with releases spread out on those days. Each day would have their builds first streamed onto YouTube via the Dreamiverse YouTube channel, then shared on ObscureGamers after the stream.

'''This release contained builds for the following games in the series:'''

*LittleBigPlanet - PlayStation 3
*Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves - PlayStation 3
*LittleBigPlanet 2 - PlayStation 3
*LittleBigPlanet PlayStation Vita - PlayStation Vita
*LittleBigPlanet 3 - PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4
