A prototype of '''Dead Space 3''' for the Xbox 360.
==Notes==
* Compiled on the same day as final but only the .xex matches.
* Found as part of TNO-DRW-Kabo lot.
* Original filename: Dead Space 3 (Dec 14, 2012) [Beta 3].rar
* Boots fine in Xenia Canary March 26, 2024 Build 122f58c9d
* The audio message left by Ellie Langford in Isaac's apartment glitches out, vanishing rather than playing
* Overall content is relatively 1:1 with retail, just some slight glitches.
* No debug menu accessible with primary controller (need to test with a second controller)
* Given the game launched in February of the next year, unlikely to find any notable content changes. For instances of unique content, see the August build for PS3.
A prototype of Aliens: Colonial Marines for the Xbox 360.
==Notes==
* Predates the final build by 4 months.
* Playable in at least Xenia Canary March 26 2024 Build, though prone to crashing during certain loading transitions. Textures will also glitch, enough to the point to possibly induce an epileptic seizure - '''be mindful if you have epilepsy!'''
* Features almost the entire campaign, with multiple cut cinematic moments far enough into development to have voice lines and dedicated animations, including a tram ride to escape the Sulaco.
* Several E3-quality visual aspects, such as the infamous swinging broken light with dynamic shadows, were still implemented this late into development.
* Features pre-vis cutscenes with multiple, alternate (and in this member's humble opinion, significantly better) planned cinematography than in the final release.
* Final boss stage is just started on, with static t-posed models. No functional gameplay.
* Using the debug cheats (available via the pause menu) is necessary to progress past several sections.
* When playing the level with the Xenomorph queen under Weyland Yutani experiments, use Kill Enemies to despawn her. Otherwise she will constantly kill you before you can trigger the next level load transition.
* Collectibles with experience point boosts for both Marines and Xenos that would carry over into multiplayer were fully functional at this point in development and were cut for seemingly no reason.
* Player loadout system exists but the weapon wheel doesn't appear to be implemented, leaving you with the default rifle as your primary and the scout rifle as your secondary.
* Advise you use the God Mode and Loaded perks, as the current implementation of the health system is still fairly unforgiving.
* Certain setpieces are 1:1 with the final game, such as the Smartgun shootout, but other levels feature vastly different geometry and scripting, especially levels relating to the Sulaco.
* Multiplayer maps appear to be coded in and implemented, but are inaccessible by normal means.
* SHIFT Codes were just labeled "Unlock Codes" in the menu at this point.
* The "rescue Keyes" objective plays out slightly differently, with the player firing their pulse rifle instead of a pistol.
* Weyland Yutani mercenaries have slightly more visual variety in their armor designs.
* Weird glitches in some in-game cutscenes where characters' hands look improperly sized.
* Despite playing as Winter in the intro cutscene, the game seems to spawn you as Player Two, with Bishop examining an NPC as Player One?
* Story dialogue ranges from fully implemented to placeholder texts. Several cut lines of dialogue are present.
* Unlike most UE3 games, Colonial Marines appears to not use traditional trigger volumes, so being in Ghost mode with debug allows players to go beyond the normal boundaries of the loaded area, but also means you have to walk to trigger each subsequent loading zone.
* Worth exploring further on 360 Devkit hardware! Will upload video documentation in near future.
* Original filename: Aliens - Colonial Marines (Aug 10, 2012) [Pecan.4170--2012-8-10_00.20].rar
A prototype of Aliens: Colonial Marines for the Xbox 360.
==Notes==
* Predates the final build by over a year and a half.
* Contains both a final and release executable. The final executable boots in the latest builds of Xenia-Canary [122f58c9d Mar 26, 2024].
* Different title screen.
* Choosing "Start New Game" will hang on the main menu until you hit the Start button and choose to "leave game".
* Contains debug but debug appears to be inaccessible (or does not display properly) in currently Xenia-Canary build.
* Different controls and multiple differing mechanics from the final release. Consult the ingame controller layout to get to grips with it. Seriously, Select = Flashlight levels of weird.
* No PvP content is seemingly present.
* There are three campaign missions, all midway between transitioning from grayboxed to environmental art pass.
* Mission 08 seemingly features the Weyland Yutani scientist/spy character cut from the final game.
* Mission 07 is barely functional, mostly presenting level geometry, save for an interactive button for a garage that does nothing after being triggered.
* There are multiple test environments, including fully implemented rooms for all enemy types. They feature a wide array of cut environmental assets.
* A cut Xenomorph miniboss dubbed the Reaver is fully implemented. It is a large, roided out, white xenomorph that would've attacked the player like the Xenomorph Soldier class, but with substantially more health.
* Player health does not have armor or individual chunks - it's a single bar, and is healed with a slowly applied medkit in the style of Left 4 Dead.
* Cut health and ammo dispensers, also in the style of Left 4 Dead.
* Most weapons are at least partially implemented, including several cut weapons, but most are buggy and can only be accessed via debug or the Firing Range test environment.
* The Firebomb grenade was originally intended to be used to cut off Xenomorph spawns like e-holes in Gears of War.
* Enemies in general demonstrate far more aggression than in the final release, both xeno and human variants.
* Bella, O'Neal, Winters, and Cruz are fully modeled, but only Winters and Cruz's models are used in any of the playable levels.
* A cut Duke Nukem cameo, portraying Duke as a Colonial Marine, is scripted but only partially implemented.
* In theory, LAN play may be possible, as it appears to be coded in. Will require testing.
* Original filename: Aliens - Colonial Marines (Mar 10, 2011) [ACM-360-58].zip
A prototype of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the Xbox 360.
==Notes==
* Postdates the final build by over 3 months.
* Original filename: Star Wars The Force Unleashed (Demo 2008-08-05).7z
* Confirmed to be a near-release build of The Force Unleashed's Xbox 360 demo. Matches the final release closely.
* Bonus objectives appear to not be implemented.
* A few enemy squads have different combinations, like a much earlier introduction to the minigun Militia soldier
* Tie Fighters/Bombers in the starting hangar are slightly harder to destroy and the their destruction gibs last longer on-screen before despawning.
* Additional radio chatter from the station's security administrator
* A few slight level geometry variations, but nothing that dramatically alters the layout, just slight adjustments to odd ends of certain walkways.
* Booting from the Scum 360 XEX does boot to a debug level selector, but it's still only the grip tutorial and demo levels.
A prototype/prerelease build of ''Dead Space 2'' for the Xbox 360 from 2010-10-05 (about 3.5 months before the game was released).
==Notes==
* Only the first disc of the two disc set has been recovered and preserved.
* Printed label indicates this is the "alpha 2" build.
* This build is bootable in Xenia Canary [Build 122f58c9d March 26 2024]
* Accessing some of the debugging controls requires a second controller. On Controller 1 or 2:
** LB + RB + Start = Debug Menu On Controller 2:
** RS = Toggle No-Clip Reposition Player Mode
** LS = Toggle Debug Camera/Normal Camera In Debug Camera Mode, on Controller 2:
** Left Stick = Forward/Back, Strafe
** Right Stick = Pitch/Yaw
** Y, A = Up/Down
** LB, RB = Roll Left/Right
** Hold LT = Slower Camera Movement
** Hold RT = Faster Camera Movement
** RS = Bring Player to Camera + No-Clip Toggle
* Plasma cutter originally was given unlimited ammo for the duration of its tutorial, before reverting to normal ammo after defeating the gurney Necromorph.
* It's possible for the lockers near the plasma cutter tutorial area to not offer any loot.
* Originally Daina and Isaac didn't bicker and he trusted her from the get-go, with a fully recorded alternate conversation during the hospital escape horde attack.
* The British female CEC AI voice is missing, with two different male AI voices, both American, filling in. Unclear if placeholder, as audio effects are in place.
* The patient suit from the beginning of the game is equippable in the store as if it were a normal suit of armor. It lacks an oxygen level readout. Other gameplay oddities may arise. Use at your own risk.
* Suits had resale values attached, suggesting they might've been resellable at some point after they outlived their usefulness.
* A blonde female non-hostile civilian NPC can be found after your second encounter with Stross. Using debug, you can find that she still retains code that enables her to look at and turn towards wherever Isaac is standing.
* The infamous screaming washing machine originally stopped screaming after enemies attacked you.
* The infector attack at the train terminal starts differently, triggering immediately instead of when you come by the doors to the train.
* Hacking minigame has different sound effects and has a more generous timer for players to complete it before failing.
* The Pack originally spawned in a far larger wave. Likely cut down due to hardware limitations.
* There are different enemy ambushes in the Church of Unitology (both a Puker instead of the three slashers in the recruitment center, and a Pack attack if you return to the store)
* It's possible for the alpha to glitch Stasis packs to 2 units instead of 3 in a stack.
* Upgrading ammo doesn't top off ammo count in the associated weapon, unlike in the final game.
* Includes cut jumpscare lurker ambush when you drop out of the vent towards the end of the Unitologist Church chapters.
* The church elevator exploit (shoot out the above vent and a slasher won't spawn) doesn't work in the Alpha. The slasher will still spawn.
* By exploring the skybox right before meeting with Daina, you can see that the Ishimura is present, with a fully detailed 2D sprite, despite not being readily visible to the player at any point during this section.
* Instead of a religious chant, the child by the marker projector video in the Unitologist apartments has this weird... eerie artificial child laughter on constant loop.
* There is a unique physics object resembling the top of a mounted turret. It's found hovering above the ground in a hallway not long after the fight with the Tormentor.
* There's a brief animation hitch on some portions of the floor geometry near the oxygen fire puzzle.
* The Clogger Poster has an entirely different design, depicting the killer in full view with a sword, sack mask, and clogging shoes. It also states that it's "From the producers of Maverik: Zombie Hunter", the animated show advertised in the toy store earlier in the game.
* Stross and Isaac conversations originally had more direct references to Stross' hallucinations hurting him, as well as referencing the events of Dead Space: Aftermath.
* Some slightly different enemy spawns before and during the school chapter.
* When the sun prop drops on Isaac on the stage in the school, he doesn't pause and shake his head.
* It's possible to have a glitch where you can't pick up the items from inside the lockers in the gym
* Instead of a regular soccer ball, there's three zero-g balls, like in Dead Space 1. They lack the energy ring around them, simply glowing dully.
* Potential crash bug at the end of the school chapter, right at the end, as the bell rings.
A prototype of Star Wars Battlefront for the Microsoft Xbox.

==Notes==
*The prototype is bootable in Xemu as of 2024, but may experience slowdown and sound issues.
*Different title screen.
*The main menu has a very different design.
*The HUD is stylized differently, particularly the health, ammo, and weapon icons.
*Features multiple maps and infantry units only seen in the game's [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT0YTefSsQg&pp=ygUlYmF0dGxlZnJvbnQgMjAwNCBhbm5vdW5jZW1lbnQgdHJhaWxlcg%3D%3D earliest trailer].
*A few maps will load debug text overlaying the screen during gameplay.
*In general, maps appear to far more heavily emphasize vehicular combat than in the final release.
*Dune Sea map is nearly triple the size, with an expanded Tusken Raider camp and far more vehicles for all sides.
*Mos Eisley Space Port map is the least changed, save for a substantially different hangar bay section.
*Kamino features a different layout, anti-aircraft turrets, and flyable ships.
*Theed map is an entirely different layout with substantially more landspeeder vehicles, verticality to the map geometry, and a different section of the map surrounded by water.
*The two front command posts on Hoth are destructible, and there are remnants in the map geometry of additional underground tunnel routes for the Echo Base sections. Rare crash bug when entering the hangar bay from outside on Hoth as well.
*Grassy Plains map features an absolute boatload more vehicles, including three AT-ATs, with Rebel ground and air speeders to combat them.
*Endor is virtually 1:1 with final release, save for the Bunker being closed off to attackers.
*Geonosis map features multiple additional CIS command posts, almost all of which are destructible.
*Bespin, Kashyyyk, and Rhen Var maps aren't implemented, and will load Dune Sea map if playing Galactic Conquest.
*Yavin VI's map layout received drastic reworking.
*Galactic Conquest menu interface and perks differ from final release.
*The missing Officer class is still present in the game's code, along with numerous differences to the standard infantry classes. The Officer originally was the class able to dispense health and ammunition to allies, while the pilot was meant to merely handle vehicles and build/repair minor structures around the map.
*The only Officer to make it into the final game is the Wookiee for the Rebels - instead, the Bothan Spy would be cut, despite having a fully functioning disguise kit that will fool NPCs, and a unique Seeker Rifle that would follow after enemies with purple plasma orbs. Some aspects of the Bothan Spy, primarily the disguise kit, were later spotted assigned to the Rebel Sniper in an early officially released Xbox demo, suggesting the Bothan was almost rolled into that class, before all aspects were dropped entirely.
*The Clone Commander has (a rather unwieldy version of) the EMP launcher later given to the Jet Trooper, while the Droid Commander has a sonic cannon later seen in Battlefront 2's arsenal for the Imperial Officer.
*The Assassin Droid for the CIS faction was originally modeled after the IG assassin droids, rather than the B1 droid model in the final game.
*Command Posts were originally Blue and Red, and would display the same (Blue for Heroic factions, Red for Villainous) to both sides.
*Infantry sidearms used to require reloading, and ammo supplies in general were far sparser. Grenades had to be equipped in the place of the primary weapon, requiring that the player hold down the trigger for longer to toss it further - including dynamic animations based on how far the player throws each grenade.
*Unlike in the final release, AI units will eagerly steal any vehicle not manned by the player - this includes indigenous factions like the Tusken Raiders.
*Coincidentally, other than ammo and health, the Imperial Officer has no difference other than appearance to that of the Imperial Pilot.
*Fake Console can be selected while a match is paused. It allows the player to toggle a limited selection of debug options.
A prototype of the unreleased Star Wars Battlefront 3 for the Xbox 360.
==Notes==
* When the game starts, you will see a purple screen before the Free Radical logo plays and the main menu appears. Press start button on your Xbox controller to play.
* Made for Xbox Development Kits, fully functional in the Xenia emulator (as of March 4, 2024).
* Contains many bugs and performance issues. This build is 9 months older than the one seen in the leaked trailers.
* Runs substantially better with bots disabled. Campaign missions are also less prone to crashing due to using different AI than Instant Action.
* The most stable maps are Coruscant, Tatooine, Hoth, and Bespin. Mustafar, Desolation Station, and Yavin IV will load but are more prone to crashing. Dantooine is exceptionally prone to crashing before even finishing loading.
* Campaign cutscenes will play, but most are missing assets, at times only playing audio over the loaded map and camera angles. For missing visual reference, consult the PSP and DS versions' cutscenes in Battlefront: Elite Squadron. Of the two handheld ports, the DS port is more faithful to the home console port, but the PSP does feature the full fight scene between Fallon Grey and X1 that was seen in the leaked trailers, just rendered with the PSP assets.
* Melee attacks do not inflict substantial damage, making most Jedi and Sith heroes fairly ineffectual in this build.
* Certain vehicles do not work by default.
* The Bespin campaign mission is near-fully functional, and will successfully load into the subsequent space mission thereafter, which is also playable in full, but will then hang on the next cutscene.
* Some challenge maps will load in a basic state, but are very roughly implemented, if at all.
* The Free Radical Archive's Discord server contains several mods to improve performance, restore incomplete features to work closer to the build seen in the leaked trailers, and general functionality to the build. They also have a mod for unlocking the campaign missions for easier research.
* Despite being unreleased, the multiplayer functionality is partially working via Xenia's online functions, allowing for peer-to-peer gameplay. However, there are additional bugs for multiplayer that can lead to complications while playing.
* Technically playable with a keyboard, but inadvisable to do so if at all possible.
* It has been confirmed by CloneTrooper 163 that certain aspects of the game's [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8A1pel_DQU PC menu and inputs] are buried in the prototype and can be enabled with modifications.
A debug build prototype of ''Dead Space 2'' for the Xbox 360 from 2010-11-18 (two weeks before the NTSC release build).
==Notes==
Does not work in Xenia as of build [master@fb5424a9/Sep 14 2023] - will load to main menu, but crash within moments of loading into the game.

There are four XEX files included in this release, but all of them are from the same day:

* deadspace_d.xex
* deadspace_f.xex
* deadspace_q.xex
* deadspace_r.xex

Accessing some of the debugging controls requires a second controller.

On Controller 1 or 2:

* LB + RB + Start = Debug Menu

On Controller 2:

* RS = Toggle No-Clip Reposition Player Mode
* LS = Toggle Debug Camera/Normal Camera

In Debug Camera Mode, on Controller 2:

* Left Stick = Forward/Back, Strafe
* Right Stick = Pitch/Yaw
* Y, A = Up/Down
* LB, RB = Roll Left/Right
* Hold LT = Slower Camera Movement
* Hold RT = Faster Camera Movement
* RS = Bring Player to Camera + No-Clip Toggle
A prototype/preview build of ''Dead Space 2'' for the Xbox 360 from 2010-11-08 (about three weeks before the NTSC release build).
==Notes==

* Works at least in version builds [detached/a6954ace/Feb 1 2021] and [master@fb5424a9/Sep 14 2023] of Xenia. There is some background audio stuttering/delayed triggering. Some shader and VFX issues can also arise. The build may crash during loading sequences, particularly the first elevator ride. The 2023 Xenia build runs the prototype substantially smoother.
* The preview build starts the player in Chapter 2, after Isaac Clarke (the protagonist) has reclaimed his engineering suit. The player will spawn with two medkits (one medium, one small), a stasis pack, 1,000 credits, and both the traditional Plasma Cutter as well as a free Linegun and one spare upgrade node.
* As a result of the free Linegun, the only available items in the first store you come across are the Javelin Gun, Plasma Ammo, and the Small Medkit.
* Overall the gameplay and story elements are near-identical with the final release build.
* It is possible to save, but not to load, so without modifications, it is necessary to play through the preview build in one sitting.
* The build ends right after completing the game's first major setpiece against an EarthGov gunship and the [https://deadspace.fandom.com/wiki/The_Tormentor Tormentor] necromorph. After the setpiece is finished, the next section begins to load, and the emulator will freeze due to the missing Chapter 6.
An early prototype of '''Silent Hill: Homecoming''' for the Sony PlayStation 3.
==Notes==
* Early prototype.
* Predates the final build by 4 months.
* Debug symbols are present.
* Works at least in version 0.0.31-16206-77485747 Alpha of rpcs3. Sometimes items like chairs can react oddly to physics, hovering in the air. Alex also appears to sometimes be walking between a quarter to half an inch above the ground. None of these issues impact gameplay.
* Runs exceptionally well but only covers the second and third missions (comprising Alex walking around part of Shepherd's Glen and navigating the front portion of his family home). As soon as you approach the back alley, the game crashes while trying to load the next section., crashing right after leaving your backyard. Also, you can't enter the rear of the house to hear the casette tape. No sign of the cut alternate tutorial opening involving fighting alongside a hunter in the woods as [https://youtu.be/OO3vdez92qI?si=-xXoYD0VXlgUPsB8 found] by dataminers.
* The most notable content difference is that characters appear with different hairstyles. Both Alex Shepherd (the protagonist) and the town's judge, Margaret Holloway, have completely different hair sculpts than in the final release. Alex's is almost entirely a 2D texture, as is still visible in the PC port's leftover loading screens from the game's beta, while Holloway has a less natural looking, layered hair sculpt. They still exchange the same dialogue, and have the same optional dialogue conversation if the player speaks to her inside the town hall building.
* When examining items (at least in RPCS3), they will naturally rotate vertically, making it difficult to examine them. At least one of the photos you can examine has a glitched back texture.
* Original filename: Silent Hill V (Apr 03, 2008) [First Look].iso
This is a pre-release PS3 build of '''Beyond: Two Souls'''. It was created as a test build in November of 2012 (11 months before release).
==Notes==
* Two Souls 2012 Build loads, but crashes if the user tries to skip past the second scene with debug tools.
* The first scene is incomplete, only loading assets with no scripting triggered. To proceed to the next scene, you must use the Debug Menu (L3) to skip ahead.
* The opening scene is different than in the final release. It depicts the apocalyptic scenario from the final release's endings, from the POV of a highway overpass overlooking a destroyed metropolis.
* The second scene, with Jody (the protagonist) being spoken to by the kindly sheriff appears to have finished English voiceover and mocap work intact, almost 1:1 with the final release.
* Works at least in version 0.0.31-16206-77485747 Alpha of rpcs3. Lots of graphical rendering errors though, especially lighting and shaders.
A pre-alpha, debug-build prototype of of '''Dead Space 3''' for the PlayStation 3 from 2012-08-25 (about 4 months before the NTSC release build).
==Notes==
* Works at least in version 0.0.31-16206-77485747 Alpha of rpcs3 without problems if run in default settings.
* The entire game is present in some form, but the completeness/playability varies greatly.

* The middle of the game (from the Sovereign Colony fleet of ghost ships to the surface of Tau Volantis, the ice planet) is nearly complete, although a few puzzles (in particular, the "collect all of the cross-sections of Rosetta the alien" puzzle on the planet) are non-functional and must be skipped by using the level-select feature in the debug menu. Other puzzles function differently, such as the train puzzle from the second chapter being more elaborate.

* The early and later chapters are mostly untextured/placeholder geometry, but are generally functional with the exception of the final boss battle. Final boss stage loads, but is simply a spinning, non-interactive asset.

* It is possible to launch the E3 preview version of the game by selecting the E3 front-end instead of the standard front-end. The E3 version plays somewhat differently than the equivalent section of the "normal" game which is also present in this pre-alpha build.

* Numerous test/debugging levels are present in the map list, though beware that many entries in the map list are not actually present on the disc, and will cause the game to lock up (generally requiring a reboot of the console).
* Several cut gameplay features are present, including breakable ice hazards, more sections where the player can die from hypothermia, and suits having unique perks (not all are implemented or listed in the suit store).
* Human enemies are demonstrably harder to kill and have more dedicated combat encounters against both the player and necromorphs.
* Multiple instances of alternate dialogue, some fully voiced by the main cast of the final game, other sections by placeholder voiceover. Overall tone of the writing is more somber. However, not all cutscenes are implemented.

* Accessing some of the debugging controls requires a second controller.

On Controller 1 or 2:

* L2 + R2 + Start = Debug Menu

On Controller 2:

* R3 = Toggle No-Clip Reposition Player Mode
* L3 = Toggle Debug Camera/Normal Camera

In Debug Camera Mode:

* Left Stick = Forward/Back, Strafe
* Right Stick = Pitch/Yaw
* Triangle, Cross = Up/Down
* L2, R2 = Roll Left/Right
* Hold L1 = Slower Camera Movement
* Hold R1 = Faster Camera Movement
* R3 = Bring Player to Camera + No-Clip Toggle

An early prototype of '''Silent Hill: Homecoming''' for the Sony PlayStation 3.
==Notes==
* Early prototype.
* Predates the final build by 4 months.
* Debug symbols are present.
* Runs exceptionally well but only covers the second and third missions, crashing right after leaving your backyard.
* The build only features the second and third chapters of the game, compromising Alex walking around part of Shepherd's Glen and navigating the front portion of his family home. As soon as you approach the back alley, the game crashes while trying to load the next section.
* Works at least in version 0.0.31-16206-77485747 Alpha of rpcs3. Sometimes items like chairs can react oddly to physics, hovering in the air. Alex also appears to sometimes be walking between a quarter to half an inch above the ground. None of these issues impact gameplay.
