A prototype of '''Tornado Outbreak''' for the Nintendo DS.
==Notes==
An unreleased Nintendo DS prototype of Tornado Outbreak as it was initially developed under the title of "Tornado Alley". Unlike its console counterpart, development was handled primarily by WayForward Technologies, with Loose Cannon Studios serving as co-developers in collaboration with Warner Bros. Games. The port would ultimately end up getting retooled into a video game titled "Galactic Taz Ball".

* The prototype includes two levels: Gym and Chicken Con Carnage.
* In the Gym level, players can adjust the player tornado's size by pressing L or R. A small button can be activated by performing a stomp, which is likely an early iteration of the Stone Stomp ability from the console release.
* The Chicken Con Carnage level offers players to choose between three different tornado sizes: small, medium, and large.
* Both Gym and Chicken Con Carnage utilizes a heavily compressed version of the S4 soundtrack from the level Double Wide Damage instead of a unique theme.
* Gameplay is played in an isometric perspective with players controlling the game with the Nintendo DS' stylus. Tapping the touch screen performs a stomp, though this appears to be non-functional outside of the Gym level.
* Primary gameplay is centered around collecting objects as opposed to capturing elemental sprites such as Fire Flyers in the final release of the game.
* Placeholder minigames such as Fire, Water, and Electric were utilized to test the Nintendo DS' touch screen.

A prototype of '''Tornado Outbreak''' for the Nintendo DS.
==Notes==
A revised build of the unreleased Nintendo DS prototype of Tornado Outbreak, titled "Tornado Alley". It marks the beginning of the retooling process into what would eventually become Galactic Taz Ball. This build includes several changes, most notably the introduction of Taz's tornado transformation mechanic and a new destruction-based scoring system.

* The game automatically enters debug mode upon startup.
* The player controls Taz directly. When movement is detected via the stylus, Taz transforms into a tornado.
* Two new minigames, "Whack" and "Trace," have been introduced.
* Only the Chicken Con Carnage level is currently selectable.
* An optional side task has been added to the level, requiring the player to collect four chickens and use the tornado to place them within a fenced area.
* The S4 track from the Double Wide Damage level has been replaced with a MIDI track from Mario Kart DS, likely a leftover from a Nintendo DS SDK.
* The Model and Level Viewer is partially broken, with all models displaying black textures.

A prototype of '''Tornado Outbreak''' for the Nintendo DS.
==Notes==

==Notes==

* Both Gym and Chicken Con Carnage utilizes a heavily compressed version of the S4 soundtrack from the level "Double Wide Damage" instead of a unique theme.
** a GBA rom. throws out a cute graphic that says "tesuto-o" (テストオ). The ROM itself won't do anything, but if it is loaded into the Slot-2 of a DS and a mainline Japanese Generation 4 Pokemon game is loaded, it will be recognized as a Mystery Gift. So far, I've tried this on every Japanese gen 4 Pokemon game, but every time you try to initiate the gift, a message appears which says something along the lines of "I found a gift, but in this version, it doesn't work. Press A to return to the previous menu". Gen 5 doesn't seem to have any slot-2 distribution capabilities, so I'm genuinely not sure what these ROMs want from me. I've also tested a bit in Generation 3, but apparently Mystery Gift requires a Wireless Adaptor in those games, which I don't have access to, don't want to buy, and no emulator supports it very well, somehow. I did try to connect them with VBA-M, which has a Wireless Adaptor option; while it wasn't detected at all, I don't feel comfortable totally scrapping this idea until it's attempted on real hardware. Fushigi means "mystery" in Japanese, and is a part of PMD's Japanese name: Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon. AGB means GBA.
** Perhaps a look into what the previous ROM was, this is a GBA rom which, on the surface, looks identical to the "fushigi_agb" roms mentioned previously. Its internal name is "POKEMONFUSHI". This ROM doesn't do anything on its own, but if it is detected in the Slot-2 of a DS, and any Japanese mainline Generation 4 Pokemon game is booted, this will unlock a Mystery Gift in the "Receive from a Friend" section. The gift gives a shiny level 5 female Piplup. This Piplup has Fateful Encounter, has an origin game of Diamond, comes from "a lovely place", and has the otherwise unused Festival Ribbon attached. Its ID is always 60928, and its OT is shown as "Xマb" in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and "?ýXマb" in Platinum/Heartgold/Soulsilver. This may seem nonsensical, and seeing as its OT is completely blank when viewed in PKHEX, it probably is. Its stats are randomized, it knows Growl and Pound, and holds TM86 (Grass Knot). SUPER INTERESTING, no clue what it's doing here, but either way, cool to see.
A prototype of '''Tornado Outbreak''' for the Nintendo DS.
==Notes==

* Chicken Con Carnage is the only playable level in-game.
** The level offers players to choose between three different tornado sizes: small, medium, and large.
* The level utilizes a heavily compressed version of the S4 soundtrack of the level Double Wide Damage as opposed to its own unique theme.
* Gameplay is played in an isometric perspective with players controlling the game with the Nintendo DS' stylus.
* Primary gameplay is centered around collecting objects as opposed to capturing elemental sprites such as Fire Flyers in the final release of the game.
*Placeholder minigames such as Fire, Water, and Electric were utilized to test the Nintendo DS' touch screen.
* Including with the prototype also contains the source code for the port.
Similar to "Island Mode" in ''Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair'', it explores the premise of Monokuma forcing the participates into partaking in a survival training camp as opposed to a killing game.
* The mode was originally titled "Survival Mode" during development.
