Prototype from around two months before the game's release. Game was originally advertised for a mid-December 1987 release date, but got pushed back to February 1988.
==Notes==
- Slight intro text difference.

- Animation before opening stage isn't in the final game.

- The block layout for the miniboss areas is different from final.

- Weapons on the status screen don't change their color to indicate their level.

- The HUD doesn't say the area number.

- The credits are different.

- The ship's exhaust isn't animated on the ending screen. A palette cycling animation was added for the final game.

- The bonus SHMUP mode isn't in the game.
