A demo of PaRappa the Rapper 2 for the PlayStation 2, known as the Tentou-you Taikenban Demo.

Notes

  • Japanese kiosk demo
  • While the disc was burned on July 17, 2001, a mere three days before the retail version, the files date up to June 30
  • Loading times are longer
  • Only Stage 2 (Romantic Love) is available; after clearing it, the game goes back to the intro cutscene
  • Chop Chop Master Onion's lines before Lesson 1 ("Yes... it is time to get romantic") were not transcribed/translated to Japanese yet
  • There is an extra dot before each line starts. As such, inputs can be performed a little earlier compared to the retail version
  • The meters have slightly harder shading. The effects seen when getting positive and negative scores are also different, increasing and decreasing the contrast of the meters rather than the brightness
  • The purple meter is hidden, as is when playing Stage 2 for the first time in the retail version
  • Cool Mode quota is much more lenient
  • Try Again screen is different
  • Internal difference: Cool Mode voice lines are stored separately
