* Does not work on emulators very well unless software rendering is used. This is also true of the final game, but the final game has a patch. I (Kneesnap) tried porting the patch from retail to this prototype, but there are too many differences from the final for me to port the fix without spending time to understand how the fix works.

* The game likes to crash on the main-menu, seemingly due to failure to load assets from HDD. Ensuring that the first button you press is ''Circle'' is a reliable way to bring up the level select.

Notes

  • To be released by Kneesnap in 2022.
  • Contains a whopping 60MB of debug symbols.
  • Seems to try loading most of the game data from the PS2 HDD. Unfortunately, any data which was present on the HDD was likely lost, unless it is also found to be present on the disc unaccessed.
  • Does not work on emulators very well unless software rendering is used. This is also true of the final game, but the final game has a patch. I (Kneesnap) tried porting the patch from retail to this prototype, but there are too many differences from the final for me to port the fix without spending time to understand how the fix works.
  • The game likes to crash on the main-menu, seemingly due to failure to load assets from HDD. Ensuring that the first button you press is Circle is a reliable way to bring up the level select.
