Originally a game made with the Superman IP in mind. It was then reworked to incorporate a generic superhero for unknown reasons before ultimately being cancelled.

- There have been a few conflicting claims as to the reason for the change:
- The first is Developer EIM supposedly couldn't come to an agreement with Sunsoft over how the game should be made.
- It is also possible that Sunsoft may not have actually had the rights to produce an NES Superman game to begin with.
