A demo build of Compound 3D for the PC.
Notes
- Contains a zip for the Windows version and another zip for the DOS version.
- Internally known as RAGE (Raycasting Algorythmic Graphical Engine), this technical demo is actually a preview of what the LithTech engine was going to become. This software lets you navigate in some sort of psychedelic hotel with sprites in 2D or even 3D. Strangely, the engine of this demo is so old, there's actually no LithTech engine tools that can decrypt the map or the sprites and models.
- To run this with the right performances on the DOS build, use the following configuration on Dosbox:
[cpu] core=auto cputype=pentium_slow cycles=fixed 25000
- The commands for the build are:
Arrows: move around PgUp and PgDown: Look up or down Insert: Throw bouncing balls sprites Space: Jump Alt: Strafe
