A post-release demo build of Mario Kart Wii, exclusive to Japanese Wii Kiosk Stations.
Notes
- The default wii strap screen was replaced by demo specific Strap and Control Screens.
- Demo runs on a 10 minute timer once started, and then brings up the Trial End screen.
- When crashing, attempts to write a log and reboot instead of stopping/freezing/error screen.
- Home Button Menu cannot be brought up by pressing the Home Button.
- Unused assets were stripped to safe space.

Origin
The hard drive of the WII U kiosk station's video distribution unit (WIS-009) drive was dumped by Zel (aka Luckless Heaven), while Rairii extracted the demo build from it.
In said hard drive dump, the build's ISO starts at 0x143D00FE00. There, the update partition was fully present, but the game partition was partly overwritten by Linux updates. Rairii pieced it back into a full, working ISO, which verifies correctly against its internal checksums, thereby proving that this is indeed a correctly reconstructed ISO image.
Acknowledgements
The hard drive image had been online since 2021, uploaded by Zel. If Kelly hadn't questioned if there are leftover Wii Games on this seemingly unrelated hard drive image, this build may have been forgotten and would become lost media. Rairii then kept finding pieces and games on that hdd image one after another. Thanks to everyone!
