==Notes==
* The project only had six months be finished.
* Port was initially to be done in 6 months by a western developer and published by Taito for a 1994 release. This appears to have been soften somewhat, as a Taito would take a magazine ad, announcing the game would be pushed back to Spring 1995. The last known appearance of the game was when it appeared in the winter '95 Consumer Electronic Show, or CES.
* Was shared by a Western programmer that worked on the project.
* Despite this, it appears the game failed to make much progress. The only other appearance of the game to still exist appears to be in a even worse state, with 2 copies of the main character and Lufia wondering through a Castle.
* Contains no sound, only a title screen and a dungeon field.
* The reason for this, anonymous developer claims, is that they were unable to work with the original developers or the SNES source code. The game was estimated to be aprox. 10% completed.
* Contains no sound, all 4 character sprites are present, but the only things to this prototype are a cave and the title screen. Treasure chests are non functional, and though exits work, they don't appear to be connected to anything.

A small tech demo of a Lufia & the Fortress of Doom port for the Sega Mega Drive that was cancelled.

Notes

  • Port was initially to be done in 6 months by a western developer and published by Taito for a 1994 release. This appears to have been soften somewhat, as a Taito would take a magazine ad, announcing the game would be pushed back to Spring 1995. The last known appearance of the game was when it appeared in the winter '95 Consumer Electronic Show, or CES.
  • Despite this, it appears the game failed to make much progress. The only other appearance of the game to still exist appears to be in a even worse state, with 2 copies of the main character and Lufia wondering through a Castle.
  • The reason for this, anonymous developer claims, is that they were unable to work with the original developers or the SNES source code. The game was estimated to be aprox. 10% completed.
  • Contains no sound, all 4 character sprites are present, but the only things to this prototype are a cave and the title screen. Treasure chests are non functional, and though exits work, they don't appear to be connected to anything.
