|
A prototype of Silent Hill 2 that starts you off at the beginning of the game and ends right before the boss encounter of Pyramid Head in the apartment stairway. Various differences are found in this prototype, some of which are covered in the "Notes" category of this entry. Exploring the file contents of this disc reveals most, if not all, of the game's data is included in this disc. Meaning, with some modding/hacking, you're likely able to explore beyond the artificial boundary set by this prototype to explore many other early areas of the game.
Notes
Various differences from the final release of Silent Hill 2, mostly revolving around changed sounds and subtitles/text. Some differences include: - Various types on signs/letterings. - Slightly rearranged inventory menu. - Different "now loading" animations. - Different camera angles for certain areas. - The removal of certain lines/audio spoken by James. - The removal/addition of certain pick-up items. - Different attack and enemy sounds.
