Changes
Finalized visuals
Final visuals and UX work now present. Overall in-game UI theme color has changed to a moody blue, in contrast to the bright yellow seen in earlier Driver: SF builds.
The main menu has received significant design updates:
- A new looping background featuring various snippets of in-game cutscenes and developer gameplay is now played in the main menu.
- The Microsoft/Sony-mandated "press start button" screen has been modified to include legal information and platform-specific button icons.
The in-game experience has also seen discernible changes:
- Icons for playable interactions (specifically dares, activities, challenges and story missions) now follow a distinct contrast - the former three are now highlighted by a blue diamond shape, whereas story missions now have a yellow outline attributed to them. New iconography for various interaction types have also been added.
- The Shift iris overlay now utilizes the design seen in the final release - the only notable difference between the variant in this build and the final game is the presence of an expanding blue iris effect that is displayed as the player gradually modifies their shift level. This effect was most likely removed in the final release to prevent the player from being distracted by the effect in-game.
Bugs
- Build has a tendency to crash when attempting to damage enemy vehicles.
