A prototype DLC of Grand Theft Auto V for the Xbox 360.
Notes
- Interestingly, this package exists on the Xbox CDN, making it possible to know the date the package was modified.
- The DLC doesn't seem to be finished based on the problems that exist.
- It contains the Programmable Assualt Rifle, which is a weapon cut from the final version of the game. Originally, this weapon was supposed to be a paid DLC maybe.
- According to Slick/heyslickthatsme in the “Yes, Rockstar Dev #78371, it's Programmable Airburst Rifle and not Programmable Assault Rifle, anyway... For whatever reason there's an additional scope above the weapon model, it does not use it's unused reticle. As already known there are two magazines. Programmable Targetting attachment does exist and is enabled by default but it does nothing apart from having the ProgrammableTargetting component type. The gun is actually in heavy class and not rifle class which is interesting, and it's group is set to Sniper Rifle... Programmable Targetting does nothing as the code was removed i guess, as a result the gun works like Valkyrie's cannon like the fanmade modded XM25 variant. The reticle was restored for the video and the gun also has incorrect tint mapping.”
- The player starts with the weapon when the game begins. Ammunition can be bought in the weapon store
- Although there is a scope reticle, the gun doesn't use it for some reason.
- The dlc will only work on the unpatched retail version. However hi_are_you_ok I managed to find a way to make the DLC functional on a modified version of TU 18 (can be obtained here). It is necessary to start the menu mode that is present and load the first script for the weapon to become functional.
- The setup2.xml file has a different format which is more IV DLC-like and those weapons are lacking shop entries.
- To apply the files that make the DLC more functional on an Xbox 360, it is necessary to add the files to the package through the Velocity xbox 360 file manager.
