A prototype of Half-Life 2 for the PC.
Notes
- This prototype should not be confused with Half-Life 2 (Sep 26, 2003 prototype). It was compiled from incomplete source code of the source engine that was leaked a few days earlier. According to the VCC wiki, the source code requires Visual Studio 6.0 from 1998, Service Pack 5 for VS6.0 and the Processor Pack 5 for VS6.0 to compile correctly.
- The build date is inaccurate, it was based on the most recent source code file. The only thing that is certain is that this prototype is older than the build mentioned above.
- The build as it stands is incomplete, it will be necessary to add more files for the build to work. The problem is that as this build was based on an older source engine, it will be necessary to convert models to version 35 or 36 (the September 26 build has most of the models in version 37), not to mention other problems that may exist.
- Although it's a Half-Life 2 prototype, there are folders for Half-Life 1 (probably the source) and Counter Strike (probably the source). In addition, there are executables and a folder for Team Fortress 2, but due to the lack of files, the build won't boot (just like Half-Life 2).
