A European demo build of Micro Machines V4 for the PlayStation 2.
Notes
- Dated just over 2 months before the final build.
- Less copyright clips in the introduction with Codemasters using their short version and Hasbro's lacking a website address at the bottom along with no mention of Dolby's Surround Pro Logic II.
- The aforementioned videos are also in a partially different order.
- Main Menu has an extra 'Quit Game' option most likely intended only for this demo build.
- The GUI elements move at a slower speed and 'Shared Controllers' doesn't have its own icon, instead reusing 'Multiplayer'.
- Player icons appear in a more polished state both during gameplay and when navigating menus compared to final with a much cleaner typeface and symbols to highlight which player controls what section in the 'Shared Controllers' category.
- Profile Stats are not visible when first entering 'Single Player' mode although whether this was done intentionally for the demo or not is currently unknown.
- Bonus was originally planned to be called Secrets here.
- The SFX heard when adjusting race options is missing and the section for changing AI difficulty was labelled as the rather strange 'Extra Opponents' possibly as an error.
- A different (and rather rough looking) loading screen is used which tells you the controls on how to play the game rather than where the race takes place on.
- Some pre-race camera angles appear to follow a different path when compared to the retail build.
