* The Disk Card Checker writes and verifies a unique block type of 5 containing a repeating 3 byte pattern ($6D, $B6, $DB to fill the disk side) after the final disk file. Error 35 is returned if the block 5 verification fails.
* Holding Start+Select when inserting a new disk will activate the Data Monitor instead of the Disk Card Checker.

Notes

  • The Disk Card Checker writes and verifies a unique block type of 5 containing a repeating 3 byte pattern ($6D, $B6, $DB to fill the disk side) after the final disk file. Error 35 is returned if the block 5 verification fails.
  • Holding Start+Select when inserting a new disk will activate the Data Monitor instead of the Disk Card Checker.
    • This screen displays metadata from the disk's info block, along with the file count, CRC checksum of the file contents, total size of the file contents, and the disk error number returned by the loading routine.
