A prototype of Spider-Man for the PlayStation.
Notes
- Closer to the final version of the game by a month, most levels have minor differences.
- The main menu theme is different.
- Text cheats were already implemented at this point, however, you can still use button combinations in the pause screen to enable them.
- The free-movement cheat was removed.
- Sometimes, some levels don't work at random, might have the same issue as some other prototoypes, where the CD.HED data gets
overwritten in ram depending on the levels you play.
- Game credits use placeholder text and surprisingly, other than Spider-Man. other characters also appear, with Stan Lee voice lines
from the Character Viewer screen in the background for each character, most likely a placeholder. This was obviously removed due to memory constraints and the fact that you can't playback a XA data when the cd drive is busy loading other files, making it impossible to playback a complete music track without making it stop. Also, unlike the final version, it's not pitch black, there's a 3d model of a studio which is where the actual VA was recorded?
- Miscellaneous Notes:
- Game is emulatable: Yes (as of April 17, 2021).
- Game contains dongle protection: No.
- Game contains debugging symbols: N/A
- Dump was originally scrambled: No
