A demo build of Grand Theft Auto 2 for the Palm OS.
Notes
- Build date was based on the most recent modification date of the files (excluding GtPm_Color_patched.prc).
- Global Star Software released a Demo in December of 2001 of Grand Theft Auto 2. It was labelled as Grand Theft Auto, but the menu has the GTA2 menu, but without 2 on it. Looks similar to the GameBoy Color port of GTA2, but this version was quickly discontinued. Very little is known of this port.
- The differences are compared to the GBC port:
- Off the bat the music is different than the GBC port of GTA2.
- Title screen has the blank "Grand Theft Auto" logo without the 2.
- It appears that there were two versions of this demo, one in color and one that would perhaps be released later in gray. It is unknown if this build was actually released and if it was preserved. Additionally, it appears that the color version has the GtPm_Color_patched.prc file with a modification date of 2022 for some reason despite being obtained from the official website.
