Notes

• The build date was based on the modification date of the files.
• In March 2001, Take‑Two Interactive announced that Global Star Software would publish a Palm‑Pilot version of the original top-down GTA in Europe and North America, aiming for a holiday‑season release.
• A playable demo was released—available as both color (corresponds to the page build) and monochrome Palm binary packages.
• By June 2002, the project had been cancelled, according to fan‑site sources.
• This file was originally hosted on here.
• The demo was also hosted here
  • This claims to have a 4mb color version but the color demo is only 2,33MB uncompressed
  • The archive only shows the color version and that the gray version is comming soon.
• The differences are compared to the GBC port:
  • Off the bat the music is different than the GBC port of GTA2.
  • Title screen has the blank "Grand Theft Auto" logo without the 2.
