Treasure Tails (prototype)
Treasure Tails is an unreleased Mega Drive game developed at Sega Technical Institute after Sega of America management requested a short, simple Tails game for Christmas 1993. An isometric puzzle-adventure set in a maze-like world, it featured Ken Rose as lead programmer alongside Earl Stratton, with Hoyt Ng on design and Craig Stitt as its only artist. An included design document indicates the game was meant to tie into the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog episode "Tails' Tale". After an animation tally estimated roughly four years of art were needed to complete the project, the game was cancelled on April 16, 1993, and its staff moved to Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball.

Sourced from Ken's floppy disks, this April 1993 build of the game was accompanied by a source code. The build does not include the temple graphics seen in Stitt's mockups.
