An early prototype of Estpolis Denki II (also known as Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals) for the SNES.
Notes
The Cutting Room Floor research
- Some bytes are corrupt due to an error caused during first attempt to dump the individual EPROMs from the cartridge. It is possible that some EPROMs were dumped using the wrong chip type setting, causing data to be written by mistake. An attempt was made to fix the ROM by debugging the ROM to find points where the game would crash, and by using reference data from the final ROM.
- The archive link above includes both the original corrupt one plus a fixed version with some other modifications to allow other sections of the game to be playable. For more information on the suspected corrupt bytes, please read the notes here.
- A possible build date was found in the ROM itself.
