A prototype of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands for Nintendo DS, dated about 6 months before the final release. It is debug enabled and contains numerous differences to the final release.
The ROM image is TWL-enhanced, but it was originally flashed onto an NTR development cartridge. A modified version of GodMode9 was used to dump the ROM image.
Notes
- Press select to open a level select menu.
- Press the right trigger to open a debug menu.
- Intro cinematic can be skipped by tapping the touch screen. It is unskippable in retail.
- Loading screen is lighter colored than retail.
- Logo on title screen has a ® symbol that is not present in retail.
- Starting position for the player is slightly farther back than in retail.
- Font used on the top screen in the menu differs from retail.
- Background on menu differs to retail. Sand tornadoes are not present in prototype.
- The cutscene at the end of the first level causes the game to crash.
- Many dialogue boxes across the game are cut off, displaying a # at the end of the line.
