A debug prototype of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell for the Game Boy Advance.

This is a PAL (Multilingual for FR, UK, DE, ES and NL) build for the GBA version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. The build date is unknown, and currently no major difference was noticed with the final version of the game, however, the build feature a bunch of explicit debug features all around the build.

An analysis of the build seem to indicate that it contain a lot of compilation related log, probably part of the symbol map of the build. Screenshot showing a small part of the compilation related text found in the build

Notes

Debug features:

  • Push L at any moment before or on the language selection menu (during any intro with splinter cell logo, ubisoft logo, or on the language menu selection itself) open a "Level Select" menu that allow you to quickly start the game (choose language, stage, save slot, mission, etc).
  • In a game, push start to open the Inventory Menu, then push L to go to the Mission Objective menu. Then, pushing Select bring you to the same "Level Select"
  • In a game, push Start to open the Inventory menu, then pushing select enable a debug feature that allow you to quickwarp/teleport yourself to different state of the current mission (mission X step 1, mission X step 2) and you can like skip right to the mission complete message.
  • In a game, push Start to open the Inventory menu, then push R to go open a "Cheat Manager" menu that allow you to set some helpfull feature like invincibility, etc.
