Notes

  • Campaign, MP, Extinction are playable.
  • Accessible on Xenia and RGH through:
    • default.xex
    • default_mp.xex
    • 4-iw6sp_demo.exe
    • 5-iw6mp_demo.exe
  • This build relies on an Xbox Live DevNet authentication check and will refuse to work unless signed on. The check may be bypassed under emulation by using the Xenia Canary Netplay fork with network_mode set to 1 or 2 and stub_xlivebase set to true.

Campaign

  • Missions are in varying stages of development.
  • There are numerous test maps you can load via command.

Multiplayer

  • Most maps are near complete though there are some slight differences with lighting, texture, and some with blank sections.
  • You can get an idea of what each map looked much earlier based on the map icons and minimap in-game.
  • The cancelled map mp_warhead from the May 9, 2013 is cut.

Extinction

  • The mode is definitely in development.
    • The Town portion is still in block form.
    • The map is progressively less complete as you progress but is obviously very interesting.
    • Testing in godmode, not sure if playing legit is possible due to the overwhelming amount of aliens that will swarm you.

Safeguard

  • Contains the earliest known prototype of the gamemode "Safeguard".
    • In this mode, your pistol has regenerating ammo functioning.
    • Only 10 enemies will spawn a round and there is a round and kill counter.
  • Requires a patch linked here (credit to dragon3989) renamed as a .toml file to run or will give an error when attempting to highlight enemies. This patch only works on iw6mp.exe.
  • To load, use the console (or the xenia config via cl=) and type "ui_gametype horde"
