This prototype has a research article on TCRF.

• PAL prototype.
• Built 85 days before the first available final build (US final).
• An overscan border display is seen at all times.
• By then, the game still largely refers to itself as being "Dance Dance Revolution"; barely any graphics for the European localization were created.
• Songs don't have difficulty ratings yet.
• Contains several exclusive songs:
  • Do It Right
  • ECSTASY
  • GENOM SCREAMS
  • groove 2001
• Many songs have different steps, graphics and metadata compared to the final release.
