A prototype of Driver for the PlayStation.
Notes
- The Playstation logo shows SCEI, as if it's a Japan region proto
- No legal disclaimer, copyright info screen, company logos or intro FMV
- Loading screens are very evidently different
- Title screen/main menu differences in the available selections
- Almost all of the selections show N/A (not available)
- No music or sound on the main menu
- Only one available says to press X for a demo game and O for instructions
- Different music plays in-game and in the rolling demo
- The playable demo is an early version of one of the missions to take out a character named Duval (as shown in the loading screen)
- There is no car horn
- The target car is very tricky (easy to catch up to, but then swerves and messes with you so much), but the AI can mess up and cause the car to crash. It makes the mission easy.
- For some reason, a police siren can be heard blaring in this mission despite there being no cops.
- Glitchy, as the mission will sometimes end suddenly, claiming the target car got away ("You lost the car"). That in itself is a difference in how missions are failed.
- Completing the mission shifts the scene to a similar screen, but with a success message. This is also prone to trigger in the mission all of a sudden.
- Miscellaneous Notes:
- Game is emulatable: Yes (as of April 17, 2021).
- Game contains dongle protection: No.
- Game contains debugging symbols: N/A
- Dump was originally scrambled: No
