These were the very first Famicom development PCBs that were created by Nintendo for the Famicom, and were used for development on games dating between 1983-1985. The earliest variants of this board feature no text on the silkscreen at all, and it wasn’t until later that the name “HVC-ERC” was added, among other minor changes. Being so early in the Famicom’s life, they have no extra hardware inside, and is just a simple variant of the common “NROM” PCBs which can be found in most games from the period. It's believed that this board was only used internally by Nintendo, and has never been found carrying any third party game.
