A prototype of In Cold Blood for the PlayStation.

Notes

  • Early build of the game's first disc, contains only 3 missions instead of 4.
  • A debug menu can be accessed from the pause menu.
  • The game starts on the third mission regardless if you select "DEMO::Play Mission" or "New Game", a patch can be used to restore the New Game functionality.
  • Due to an error present in the prop data for Mission 3' car_4 starboard_cargo_bay area, the game will freeze, the crash can be bypassed by disabling the drawing of animated props by setting 801EEA3C to 0 (801EEA3C 0000).
  • Subtitles are present and toggleable, unlike the final version of the game.
  • Unlike the final game this build has XA leftovers for voices, however at this point of development the game already uses the SPEECH.CLU files instead.
  • Different font.
  • Different menu and gunshot sounds.
  • Different loading screen image.
  • Various differences throught the missions, raging from backgrounds to cut dialogues, different enemy placements and guard routes.
  • There's almost no music in this build.
  • Majority of the FMV's are unfinished, they mostly have either no sound or completely different renditions of the main theme.
  • There's no torture scene fmv's yet in this build, all MXXTORTU.STR are made of the same placeholder video with extremely loud audio.
  • The attract video "DEMO.STR" with music composed by Jason Paige was not implemented and or completed yet, as the video shows an early version of Baby Blue reactor destruction from Mission 5 instead.
  • Game over voice files have no music superimposed.
