This prototype has a research article on TCRF.

Notes

• Compiled about 3 months after the initial EU version, possibly a US localization intermediate suitable for previewing purposes.
• Different Midway logo (animated).
• No trademark screens, goes straight to the initial loading screen.
• In the final, pressing Start on the title screen displays "New Game" and "Memory Card" options before the main menu appears. Here, the main menu displays immediately.
• Character select for the race is a simple list, rather than showing each character individually, with their vehicles.
• Choosing a character in the list mentioned previously shows that character's vehicle, in another list (where all other items on the list are "?).
• The screen doesn't show "Wrong Way" when facing the opposite direction.
• Miscellaneous Notes:
  • Game is emulatable: Yes (as of April 17, 2021).
  • Game contains dongle protection: No.
  • Game contains debugging symbols: N/A
  • Dump was originally scrambled: No
