A prototype of PopStar Guitar for PlayStation 2.
Notes
- Compiled build that was present in a SVN repository. This came from Revision 10664, which happens to be the earliest build that was checked in.
- Most of the .tc archives were not checked into the SVN, so they had to be generated manually with tools included in the GuitarKidsCombined folder.
- Dated about five and a half months before the first available final build.
- Broadsword Interactive logo is different.
- Title screen and the main menu have very different designs.
- Select a Venue and Options are the only working items on the main menu. All of the other items will just display a mockup of the game mode in question.
- The game begins differently. The player has to go to a guitar shop and play the song Narrow Escape in order to win a guitar.
- Notes and strum bar have a different design. The design for both items were simplified in the final.
- The player has to audition at Apollo High (referred to as just "school") by playing a 30 second sample of Our Time Now.
- After passing the audition, the player will be able to perform the full song at the talent show.
- Winning and losing screens after playing at a venue have a very basic look. Likely placeholders.
- There's a bug where background characters have a tendency to clip in and out of the venue.
