A prototype of Sid Meier's Pirates! for the Xbox.

Notes

• Compiled a little over a month before the final PAL build.
• Does not boot on hardware
• Game utilizes some kind of dongle protection as evidenced by strings in the .xbe. The executable has its last section (the .XTLID section) removed, possibly manually, which causes the game to not boot normally. This is not caused by a sector error, as the sector following the partially filled sector that contains the last few bytes of the main .xbe contains the data for the next file on the disc. At this point, it's not possible to play the prototype unless you substitute the .xbe from one of the retail versions instead.
