A prototype of Star Wars: Ask Yoda for the J2ME.
Notes
- Developed by Amplified Games with artwork by WayForward. This and their other J2ME games tend to have input issues on some emulators; as of this writing, this prototype and the final versions work on KEmulator nnmod 2.19.1.
- Three final versions are preserved: an English-language version for Nokia 128x128 phones with OTA audio, a Turkish-language version for Nokia 128x160 phones with no audio, and a Turkish-language version for Nokia 176x208 phones with MIDI and AMR audio. In comparison, this English-language prototype appears to be for Nokia 176x208 phones and uses MIDI and WAV audio.
- The game appears to be an 8-ball simulator featuring Yoda doing various things in the house depending on the time on the phone's clock. The prototype starts with a debug screen where the hour has to be entered to select a scene.
- The prototype uses early graphics for the entire game, with the entirely different title screen referring to the game by the early title "Star Wars Trilogy: Yoda Jedi Trainer". In addition, the credits screen uses another early title, "Yoda Jedi Master".
- The "Ask Yoda" and "Wisdom" sections in the menu are swapped compared to the final version, and the "Knowledge" section appears to be entirely missing.
