- The Wizard is dark orange instead of red
- The player's life caps at 20
- The Gold counter has rolling 0s
- The items are instead referred to by their effects:
- Lamp → See Maze
Potion → Heal Spell
Cross → Turn Enemies
Scroll → See Enemies
Ring → Invisibility
- Lamp → See Maze
- The player starts with a key
- There is no sound for picking up an item nor reaching the Wizard
- The player has to shoot against a treasure to pick it up
- The skeletons summoned by the Wizard move in a straight line instead of weaving
- The spiders do not shoot webs
- The Wizard sometimes blocks your path
- The sword pieces are not displayed upon completing a level
- Picking the wrong door will warp the player to the beginning of the maze, rather than granting a random item
- Keys are not lost between levels
- There is no monster bribing element in level 7. Instead, the player finds the sword as a random treasure, and then confronts the Wizard
- Levels continue indefinitely until the player touches the Wizard after colleting the sword
