A prototype of the unreleased Tarzan for the Atari 2600.

  • Developed by James Wickstead Design Associates; designed by Lawrence Schick
  • Final or near-final build
  • Originally from a former Coleco employee, who later sold it to AtariSpot
    • Two boards with identical data were sent, but only one worked
  • Uses an unique bankswitching scheme, which makes the game not run on emulators/flash cartridges. A conversion to F6 bankswitching was later done by Thomas Jentzsch; both ROMs are provided on the download links above

From the VGHF article:

Thanks to owner AtariSpot for ensuring Tarzan was successfully dumped and made available, and to Thomas Jentzsch for the F6 bankswitching conversion.

From the Internet Archive upload:

This upload is associated with the Video Game History Foundation. Special thanks to AtariSpot for getting the game successfully dumped and making it available.
