  • Trying to run the game on the August 18, 2024 version of Xenia Canary causes the game to crash before reaching the main menu.

Original Information on Internet Archive

A prototype of the LEGO Movie Videogame for the Xbox 360, dated December 12, 2013, 27 days before the release version. It contains various notable differences to the final version, despite being so close to release.

A debug menu can be accessed in-game with the following button combo: YBBAAAXXXXYYYYY (all pressed in rapid succession) - then pause, and a new "Game Options (not for release)" option should be available.

Additionally, a profiling debug menu can be accessed by clicking in both thumb sticks at the same time.

Some noted differences include:

*Build date shows on the top left of the legal information screen when the game is booted

*Title screen has different placement of "Press Start Button" text

*Xbox Game Store button is absent from main menu

*All FMV is unfinished, and uses unfinished clips from the movie.

*Data archives contain .csv files which have filelists of their contents

*Entire game is roughly 1.5GB larger than the final released version, so it likely contains a plethora of unused assets.

There are likely many more differences, so please explore this prototype and see what you can find!

Thanks to an anonymous donator for providing this for release!
