This is the earliest known prototype of the game.
Notes
- Vectorman's voice clips are not final.
- The hardest difficulty is labelled 'Vicious' instead of 'Insane'.
- Options menu music has a different drum sample.
- No info on power-ups available from the option menu, though the text is partially present in the ROM.
- There is a scrapped Rocket level and its music is present in the music test.
- The private option screen contains additional stats for 'Max', 'Average', and 'Watch'.
- There is a stage not present in the final game called 'Stage', which is a tech demo stage.
- Vectorman's life icon is different on the bottom.
- Multipliers are not prerendered graphics.
- No score printed when getting a game over.
- "ELAPSED TIME BONUS" instead of just "TIME BONUS".
- Levels aren't referred to as Days. Level names are also different.
- Drilling through only destroys one tile of a platform.
- Credits are unfinished and only list Blue Sky personnel.

- The following cheats can be input at the options screen:
- Down, Up, B, A - Refus Q Orbot's Private Option Screen
- B, U, B, B, A - Unknown
- C, A, B, A, Left - Credits
- When pausing the game, enter the following sequences for debug controls (using Player 1's controller):
- X x3 - Hitbox for enemies (Will need to re-enter once enemies are cleared)
- Y x3 - Hitbox for Vectorman
- C x2, A - Map Coordinates 1
- C x2, b - Map Coordinates 2
- C x3 - Map Coordinates 3
- A, B, C, Start - Go to the next level
- A, B, Right, A, C, A, Down, A, B, Right, A (ABRACADABRA) - Full health
- A, Left, A, B, A, Mode, A (ALABAMA) - Disable sounds
- Down, Right, A, C, Up, Left, A (DRACULA) - Slow motion
- C, A, Left x2, A, C, A, B (CALL A CAB) - Move around the map
- Holding Z and unpausing sends the player back to the Options menu
