A prototype of Speed Devils Online Racing for the Dreamcast.
Notes
- No company logos, disclaimers, etc.
- Nor any of this title's specific intro sequences
- Oddly, it plays a cut scene from the original Speed Devils on DC.
- The loading screen does not display on redream
- Title screen shows the version of this prototype build (1.7a).
- There's also no "TM"
- The VMU detecting/handling on the title screen is problematic in emulation
- In redream, the game gets locked on a message stating that the controller is either disconnected or a VMU is being detected
- This problem doesn't occur in Demul. However, instead, it will always detect there either being no VMU or insufficient space, needing to play with saves disabled.
- On the main menu, there are no button symbols, and the menu selections and their highlighting are different
- Related to the absence of the button symbols, the Options menu isn't accessed from the main menu.
- The car models in that selection rotate in the opposite direction
- Beeping noise when "Start Race" is selected
- Racing controls are either broken or it's another emulation issue
