Happy NES Year!
Today we bring you the prototype collection of Armageddon Potato, owner of the Armageddon Potato Games store in Sacremento, California. He has been a long time member of the Nintendo collecting community, going back to early NintendoAge days.
He has amassed quite a collection of prototypes for various consoles, focusing mainly on Nintendo and he has graciously offered to dump his prototype collection for release. Although some of them have turned out to be final builds, there are quite a few fresh prototypes.
If you would like to support AP, check out his Instagram @armageddonpotatogames and X @ArmageddonPotato.
Here it is!
But wait, there's more!
As a bonus, Frank Cifaldi offered a prototype of the previously unseen Scanner.
And as a double bonus, the folks at Codebound also added the source code to Lion King for NES and Game Boy, as well as a few Lion King builds for the Game Boy.
- The Lion King (Mar 7, 1994 prototype)
- The Lion King (Jul 13, 1994 prototype)
- The Lion King (Oct 7, 1994 prototype)
- The Lion King (Oct 12, 1994 prototype)
- The Lion King (Game Boy and NES source code)
Enjoy!
Thank you to Armageddon Potato for the big release! As well as Frank Cifaldi and Codebound for contributing the bonus items for NES day. Thanks to togemet2 and iniche for help with the release.
Until next time!
