* Does not run properly (severe visual artifacting) on modern Nvidia GPUs (at least using NVIDIA driver version 531.16 on a GeForce RTX 3070) if you use the default "Ramp Emulation" mode under the File menu. "RGB Emulation" and "Direct3D HAL" run fine, with Direct3D running far quicker (the displayable FPS limit is 1500 and it regularly hits that, as opposed to 200-400 in RGB Emulation, presumably software rendering).

Error: The download file provided does not exist, please upload it or fix the file name if it's incorrect.

An early demo of Glover - then called Whack'n'Roll (which appears to have also been called Oddballs, based on the binary name and compile location - although the binary, when executed, calls it Whack'n'Roll)

The binary is dated October 24, 1996, but the data files are dated up to March 11, 1997. May be a mixture of two separate sources. Contains symbols in compiled Visual C++ object files.

Notes

  • Does not run properly (severe visual artifacting) on modern Nvidia GPUs (at least using NVIDIA driver version 531.16 on a GeForce RTX 3070) if you use the default "Ramp Emulation" mode under the File menu. "RGB Emulation" and "Direct3D HAL" run fine, with Direct3D running far quicker (regularly hitting 1500 fps, as opposed to 200-400 in RGB Emulation, presumably software rendering).
  • Space enters a single frame advance mode, with Enter leaving.
  • Tab toggles stats
  • Assets have a title screen and other things not present in the binary, which may indicate the assets are from a somewhat later build.
