A prototype of Twisted Metal 4 for the PlayStation.
Notes
- No music in the intro sequence
- No loading screen
- Title screen/main menu is different. Background zoomed away, and Load Game is Memory Card instead.
- No indication at the bottom that Triangle goes back in the menus.
- Options menu has an additional item, "Accept Changes"
- Slight differences for the vehicle selection, such as the text and the control functions at the bottom.
- The vehicle Microblast is named Wind-Up here.
- The order of cycling through the vehicles is different
- When viewing the character bios, the music doesn't fade out to let the character monologue be heard; so their voices get drowned out by the music that still keeps playing.
- Choosing a character brings up a crude pop-up message asking to save the current settings.
- Very different pre-battle loading screen
- No reverse turbo
- Vehicle handling/mechanics is very finnicky
- Miscellaneous Notes:
- Game is emulatable: Yes (as of April 17, 2021).
- Game contains dongle protection: No.
- Game contains debugging symbols: N/A
- Dump was originally scrambled: No
