An early prototype of Call of Duty: World at War for the Xbox 360.

Notes

  • Prototype is 550 days before the US release.
  • Appears to have been forked from a CoD4 build between 253 and 270 as the Xbox LIVE menu's have been partially updated (for example the CaC menu that was non-functional in 253 and replaced with a QnD version is now functional with the QnD menu option removed)
  • Build does not have any issues pertaining to freezing/crashing.
  • Single player features four levels but only one functions.
  • None of Multiplayer maps(4) load even when forced.

Details

  • There are numerous test/dev map files for Single Player that can be loaded via RTM tool. 0x82218DB8
    • TODO: Add images of test maps in-game.
  • Single player includes 4 "COD5 LEVELS IN PROGRESS":
    • IK Test 1
    • Cooperative Test 1 (*Only one that works. Tested in Xenia and Xenia Canary.)
    • Cooperative Test 2 (vehicle)
    • Flight Model Test 1
  • Cooperative Test 1 is a mission that has you attacking into a city. The first objective is placing three explosives to clear a wall. You then move on further in what seems like a maze, and the final objective is to destroy an Anti-Air gun. Upon completing the mission, it restarts.
    • This level features destructible walls with timed explosives, which aren't present anywhere in the final game till later in the franchise.
    • The building you enter through before spotting the AA gun, is the same building in the final game but with missing textures.
    • In this build of the game, your grenade is a third weapon when pressing (Y)
