A prototype of Destruction Derby Raw for the PlayStation.

Notes

  • The music tracks "Overwhelm & Destroy" and "Do What You Want To Do" are early mixes, the latter track seems to match the version used for the Intro FMV in the final game (with the missing vocal sample early into the track).
  • The music tracks "Careening" and "Pounding Pavement" are missing.
  • The Psygnosis / Studio 33 copyright screen contains an extra line of text in a custom font at the bottom of the screen, reading "The Destruction Derby Raw Team Presents....".
  • The language select screen is completely different and implemented directly into the main menu UI as the initial screen before you reach the main menu itself, whereas the later prototypes and final game moved it to a unique dedicated menu screen.
  • The X and Triangle button "Select" / "Back" UI icons seen throughout the menus have their positions swapped around compared to the later prototypes and final builds, and are positioned differently horizontally.
  • "Music Volume" found in the Sound submenu in Options is named "CD Volume" here, and has a different "CD" graphic on the piston model instead of the music note seen in later builds.
  • The number 01 graphic on the player vehicle is coloured a reddish orange on the vehicle select screen in this build. It appears as the usual yellow colour in game however.
  • You can fall a lot further off the sides of a Skyscraper event in this build before the trigger ends the match, sometimes allowing you to impact the floor below.
