A prototype of NBA Jam for the PlayStation 2.
Notes
- An NTSC-U preview build dated a month and a half before the final.
- Main menus don't seem to be visible under normal means whilst using PCSX2. This is an emulation issue and some have found that changing Speedhacks -> EE Cyclerate to 1 can fix the issues.
- No title screen and some missing intro sequences.
- Different Acclaim logo screen.
- Loading screen differs.
- The text "NBA JAM - ALPHA 07-10-03" appears in the lower-left corner throughout gameplay.
- Title music uses short loop of Kurtis Blow's "Basketball".
- Only Exhibition and Legends Tournament modes are selectable.
- Main menu layout is reversed (text on right).
- Team and Player Select images have black backgrounds.
- Code input screen differs.
- Graphics not finalized.
- Miscellaneous Notes:
- Game is emulatable (in PCSX2): Yes (as of March 17, 2021).
- Game contains dongle protection: No.
