A prototype of Tornado Outbreak for the Nintendo DS.
Notes
An unreleased Nintendo DS prototype of Tornado Outbreak as it was initially developed under the title of "Tornado Alley". Unlike its console counterpart, development was handled primarily by WayForward Technologies, with Loose Cannon Studios serving as co-developers in collaboration with Warner Bros. Games. The port would ultimately end up getting retooled into a video game titled "Galactic Taz Ball".
- Chicken Con Carnage is the only playable level in-game.
- The level offers players to choose between three different tornado sizes: small, medium, and large.
- The level utilizes a heavily compressed version of the S4 soundtrack of the level Double Wide Damage as opposed to its own unique theme.
- Gameplay is played in an isometric perspective with players controlling the game with the Nintendo DS' stylus.
- Primary gameplay is centered around collecting objects as opposed to capturing elemental sprites such as Fire Flyers in the final release of the game.
- Placeholder minigames such as Fire, Water, and Electric were utilized to test the Nintendo DS' touch screen.
- Including with the prototype also contains the source code for the port.
- The individual in possession of the prototype has declined to release the prototype along with its source code due to an alleged request from the developers. Whenever or not if the developers they're referring to is Loose Cannon Studios or WayFoward Technologies remains uncertain.
