A prototype of NBA Jam 2001 for Game Boy Color.
Notes
- Released alongside source code, assets, and design documents.
- Might not load in some emulators; a workaround is to change the file extension to .gb
- Menu scroll speed is slower
- An arrow pointing towards the player's position is displayed should they be offscreen
- Instead of pressing Start while paused to enter the debug menu, the player now has to press Select again
- Has an associated readme file:
This version has
- A version of the new sprite multiplexer (work in progress)
- Player position marker
- Ball flashing when a player is 'on-fire'
- Special shots aligned with the basket
- Timeouts are in and working from the pause menu
- Ball hidden as it passes behind the basket animation
- The pause menu should now work in a link game
- 'On Fire' lasts until another player gets a basket
- The home team gets the ball at the start of the 2nd and 4th quarters, the away team in the 3rd
- There is a delay after stealing the ball before the player can pass (since both moves use the same buttons)
