A prototype of NBA Jam 2001 for Game Boy Color.
Notes
- Released alongside source code, assets, and design documents.
- Might not load in some emulators; a workaround is to change the file extension to .gb
- Has an associated readme file, seen below. There is also a document of a bugcheck form.
Progress today
- The AI players will try to separate themselves virtically to minimise sprite dropoff.
- It's now easier for players to catch the ball if it's bouncing free.
- The thowins have been improved to stop the other team easily stealing the ball. This includes only stopping opposing players (ie on the team not throwing the ball in) from going too close to the basket.
- The player marker now appears correctly on the right hand edge of the screen
- Fixed a bug during shot violations which caused the game to get 'stuck'.
- The AI players will shoot more often instead of running around in circles beneath the basket.
- Players will only attempt to block the ball if they are near to it.
- The default editor values for fouls and steals have been changed.
- There is now a game over screen and a screen confirming if a player wants to quit a season/playoff.
- A bug in the palette routines has been fixed.
- Fixed some miscellaneous spelling mistakes.
